​Ewan is a Cambridge graduate and has always been driven to achieve the best for himself and his clients. His career started in London working on a number of high-profile heritage buildings such as the Grade I listed Architectural Association and Kensington Palace. He also worked on a series of high-end residential projects, from basement pools and galleries to new build dwellings. After gaining his Chartership Ewan moved firms to combine his passion for working with historic, listed and existing buildings with modern methods of construction and sustainable design. He then worked on a number of high value office developments in London with the aim of promoting reuse of existing structure and promoting building in more sustainable materials such as engineered timber.

 

At the beginning of 2023, Ewan left London to follow his heart and fiancée to Edinburgh and has since settled down, starting up CID with the aim of offering a bespoke and personal service to clients. Ewan is also an Associate Director at Harley Haddow and continues to focus on his passion of sustainable design for larger scale clients. CID enables him to remain in touch with the smaller projects that allow him to deliver a personalised service for individual clients, so he can continue to make sustainable design more affordable and accessible.
